In Buddhism Meditation means "effortlessly remaining in what is". There are several ways to bring the state about. One is by calming and then holding the mind. Another one is through awakening and uniting compassion and wisdom. The most direct method however is through the identification with one's own Buddha nature which recognition is the goal of meditation itself.
Diamond Way introduces to and teaches these practices. Methods used are working with bodies' energy channels and meditating on light forms of the Buddhas. The goal is called Mahamudra, Great Seal. It means that the oneness of the seer, of what is seen, and the act of seeing is unbroken, and the insight into its free nature happens spontaneously during and in between the times of meditation.
The main practice in all our centers is Guru Yoga Meditation on the 16th Karmapa. The meditation is guided in English and involves visualization and mantra recitation.
