Kerstin took refuge with Lama Ole in 1980 and moved to the Wuppertal Center in Germany in 1990 where she currently resides. She studied book restoration and paper arts from 1992 to 1999 and studied Buddhism at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in New Delhi (KIBI) from 1994 -1999. In 2003 she founded Buddhistischer Verlag, a publishing house for Buddhist books where she works as a publisher. Lama Ole first asked her to travel and teach in 2000 and this will be her second North American teaching tour.

An Evening with Lama Ole Nydahl
Please join us for a special evening of Buddhist teachings with an inspirational teacher, Lama Ole Nydahl. Lama Ole is one of the first westerners to be trained by H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, spiritual head of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. In the past 35 years, he has founded over 570 Diamond Way Buddhist Centers on Karmapa's behalf.
Known for his modern and practical approach, Lama Ole offers teachings that are timeless yet relevant to our contemporary lifestyle. This rare event will include an informative talk, Q&A, and a short meditation.
