Our Diamond Way Buddhist Center consists of
students practicing in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and grew out of a search for authentic Buddhist teachings that are easily accessible to people who wish to integrate the wisdom of ancient Tibet into their daily lives.
We meet weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in Southwest Portland:
1225 S.W. 16th Avenue 2nd floor (above City Bean Coffee) Portland, Oregon 97201

Our meetings include discussions of selected readings on Buddhist topics, facilitated on a voluntary basis and a meditation on the 16th Karmapa called Guru Yoga which is guided in English and oriented to Western students.
We have a selection of books, tapes and meditation pamphlets in our group library, as well as a number of online resources.
Newcomers are always welcome. First-time guests can call John at 503-281-3631 to schedule an optional 30-minute orientation prior to the 7:00 gathering. This will provide you with background information and an opportunity to ask questions.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per visit. Regular attendees may wish to consider becoming members. Base membership is $35 per month. Those who can are welcome to contribute more. Membership fees go directly to our expenses, such as rent for the Center and costs associated with hosting Traveling Teachers. Dues and donations do not completely cover the Center's expenses, so generosity is appreciated. The benefits of membership include free access to our lending library and the satisfaction of supporting Diamond Way Buddhism on a local level. We also have non-profit status, so membership is tax-deductible.
Please call John and Jeri at 503-281-3631 or
email for directions and further information.
