Open House – Diamond Way Buddhist Center NYC

Sunday February 10th at 4pm
With Jonathan Bradley and Renzo Balducci

Guru Yoga on the 16th Karmapa is the main practice of our Diamond Way Buddhist centers worldwide. During this Open House event, we will focus on deepening our understanding of this meditation. New friends will have the chance to learn more about our group and experienced practitioners will get detailed explanations on guiding the practice. We will share direct instructions from Lama Ole Nydahl and teachings by the 16th Karmapa on the significance of this profound method.

Ngondro: Foundational Practices – Jonathan Bradley

Living Buddhism: Deepening Our Practice

13th Annual President’s Day Retreat
Friday Feb 15th – Monday Feb 18th
Camp Mariah in Fishkill, NY

“Living Buddhism: Deepening Our Practice” is the second in a series of “Living Buddhism” courses in the USA where we aim to put into practice Lama Ole’s wishes that we produce, rather than just consume, Buddhism. It is also the 13th Annual President’s Day Retreat in the Northeast region, located in the near vicinity of the future home of the Northeast Retreat Center. As in the past, friends from all over will come together to focus on meditation practice in the Diamond Way Buddhist tradition, with evening lectures and Q&As.

Learn about our retreat center project!

The Northeast Retreat Center
Modern self confident people value real experience over philosophical ideals. Buddha’s teachings offer practical, inspiring, and useful tools for transforming even our greatest disturbances into wisdom by pointing directly at our own enlightened nature. By applying the teachings correctly one can take advantage of every situation, even their bustling city lifestyle, to lead them down the path of freedom and enlightenment.

All events are offered free of charge unless otherwise noted. No prior knowledge of Buddhism is required and there are NO prerequisites for any center event.
