Lama Ole Nydahl in NYC: Buddha and Love

Lama Ole Nydahl

Lama Ole Nydahl offers a rare combination: an authentic Tibetan Buddhist master and a lay person with real relationship experience.

Nydahl and his wife Hannah studied Buddhism under H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, and at their teacher’s wishes, traversed the globe spreading Buddhism to the West. For more than three decades, until Hannah’s untimely death from cancer in 2007, the Nydahls introduced thousands of students to meditation and a new way of seeing the world.

Lama Ole Nydahl continues to travel and teach in over 600 Diamond Way Buddhist centers around the world, and has counseled thousands of couples worldwide.

Julianne met Lama Ole Nydahl in Hamburg in 1984 and has traveled with him and his late wife Hannah Nydahl extensively ever since. She lived in the Hamburg Buddhist center and helped develop the new Munich Buddhist center in the 90s. In 2001 Julianne and her husband Michel moved back to Hamburg where they currently live. Julianne works as a lawyer in the music industry and as a family and couple mediator. Lama Ole asked Juianne to teach in 2005.
