Program for September 2010
Modern self confident people value real experience over philosophical ideals. Buddha's teachings offer
practical, inspiring, and useful tools for transforming even our greatest disturbances into wisdom by
pointing directly at our own enlightened nature. By applying the teachings correctly one can take
advantage of every situation, even their bustling city lifestyle, to lead them down the path of freedom
and enlightenment.
Join us Tuesday evenings for our year long series on the fundamentals of Diamond Way Buddhism. Every
Tuesday experienced practitioners from the NYC Sangha will lead a 45 minute talk on basic Buddhist
teachings followed by a short guided meditation.
No prior knowledge of Buddhism is required. There are NO prerequisites for any lecture.
Tuesday Nights
| 8pm |
Introduction to Buddhism and Guided Meditation. Join us for a short introduction to Diamond Way Buddhism and a guided meditation on the form of the 16th Karmapa. |
