Diamond Way Buddhist Group: Milwaukee

The Diamond Way Buddhist Group of Milwaukee is part of an international network of more than 600 groups and centers worldwide. Our centers belong to the Karma Kagyu lineage and transmit the teachings of Diamond Way (Vajrayana), or Tibetan, Buddhism. Our groups and centers were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. They are currently under the spiritual guidance of the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.

The Diamond Way is the crown jewel of the Buddha’s teachings and employs methods of total identification with enlightenment for quickest results. These methods have been practiced in Tibet and India for centuries in an unbroken transmission lineage going back to the historical Buddha. Our groups and centers consist of lay practioners that have jobs or go to school and who also incorporate teachings and meditation into daily life.

Sundays & Wednesdays, 7pm

Diamond Way Buddhist Center (2857 N. Summit Ave)

Our public program consists of an introductory talk into Buddhism followed by a short guided meditation with explanation. Newcomers are invited to come on any Sunday or Wednesday. No previous experience with Buddhism or meditation is required to attend, and questions are always encouraged.

We no longer meet at UW-Milwaukee.
