CENTER MEMBERSHIP

Meditation is free, but the space that we use to host it costs money. Everyone is welcome to freely examine our approach for as long as they like, but we do ask that people join officially as paying members once they have determined that they want to work with Karma Kagyu Diamond Way Buddhist practice.

Center dues pay for rent of center space, purchases, operations, and monthly national organization dues. There is no paid staff.

There are 2 dues rates, one for students or low-income situations, and another for professionals. Professionals do not need to disclose their annual salary, rather arrange their monthly payment accordingly.

Student rate: $20 - $40/month
Professional rate: 2 - 3% of annual salary
For example:
2 – 3% for $30K salary would be $50 - $75/month
2 – 3% for $50K salary would be $83.33 - $125/month

Benefits of Center Membership

Apart from the satisfaction of contributing to the solidity of Diamond Way Buddhism in the Midwest and US, and sense of value and ownership, there are a few perks of being a paying center member. For example:
• Full access to the lending library
• Reduced rates for DWBC Madison - sponsored events, such as weekend courses and lectures
