The Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Madison is one of nearly 500 from around the world. It is part of the Karma Kagyu lineage, under the spiritual authority of H.H. the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje, and under the direction of Lama Ole Nydahl. Lama Ole, along with his wife Hannah, have been integral forces in adapting the timeless wisdom of Diamond Way Buddhism to western society.

The center provides a relaxed environment where people are welcome to investigate authentic buddhist teachings and meditations. We always present a basic introduction for newcomers, and the meditations are guided in English. Lay practitioners volunteer for all the tasks associated with the running of the center, which is held together by idealism and friendship.
