Southern Colorado hosts Dakini Ranch, nestled in the San Juan mountain range, the largest mountain range in the state. With an altitude of over 9,000ft (2,700 M), it has breathtaking views across the San Luis Valley to the 14,000 ft (4,300 M) peaks of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At 314 acres (127 hectares) it is the largest retreat center owned by the Buddhist Foundation Diamond Way. Its purchase in 2013 was made possible by support from around the world!
Dakini Ranch is an endless source of inspiration and will be a place were friends can meet to deepen their meditation practice without the distractions of modern life and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and trust through time spent working together.
Long terms goals for Dakini Ranch include renovation of an existing cabin for year round use, several retreat huts, a Lama house, and a finished gompa for occasional larger courses.
