Friday Sept 17th - Sunday Sept 19thKhempo Tsering SamdrupTeachings on Namshe Yeshe We are very happy and excited to announce a weekend program with Khenpo Tsering Samdrup. Khenpo Tsering is an unusually knowledgeable teacher and holds the degree of Acharya, the equivalent of a PhD in Buddhist Philosophy. He is the main instructor of the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (K.I.B.I.), appointed to this position by Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche and also responsible for the Shri Diwakar Vihara Buddhist Institute in Kalimpong. He has taught in Buddhist colleges in India and Karma Kagyu centers throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Khenpo Tsering will teach on a famous treatise by the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje (1284-1339). In this root text Karmapa illuminates the differentiation between ordinary consciousness and wisdom (Tib. namshe yeshe). The text is very important to Karma Kagyu Diamond Way practitioners as studying it can help to support one’s meditation practice and the development of the pure, highest view.
