To maintain our transparent non hierarchal organization we hold monthly meetings where all center members are invited to discuss center improvements, activity, and vision.

Topic of Meeting: Center improvement and wish list

Dharma shop – improve the look with aquisition of glass curio type case and clear acrylic type booklet holders. Look on craigslist, ebay...

We want to invite t raveling teachers – every 2 to three months. Just spoke with Serge - he will come every other month – we need to arrange ahead of time – maybe get 6 months planned ahead. Let's get back to him soon. We want to invite Jesper after the holidays - when should we do this? ASAP when schoolio is back in session.

Possibility to bring Sergio to Georgetown. Would be great but is difficult for him during the week - maybe do a program on campus - g-town ask Sergio.

Statues needed for the alter – yidam – chakrasamvara or yeshe khandro, tara, and mahakala.

Let's start a once a month introduction to Buddhism at UT – get schedule – wait to see what day Southwestern and Texas State meet and pick another day. Micromanagement of tasks - reregister group, distribute flyers the week of / before, Daily Texan advertising. Goal is to have a kickin’ group back at UT – members on campus should meet to meditate as often as possible to build up energy field.

Storage shed would be great for extra storage.

Pool and hot tub would be great for good times.

Stupa! is great for all beings. Can we make a big pool and put the stupa on an island in the middle so we can swim around it too?

We would really like a p rivacy fence / bamboo, Meditation spots, gardens, landscaping, Screened porch or sunroom in the large backyard.

Public relations - advertising is important but newspaper advertising may not be so effective, continue to keep up website and flyer for events.

Web updates often – update copy on pages some sounds outdated.

Espresso machine would be nice.

Update phone and e-mail contact list and distribute to members - Jeremy

Continue support of satellite groups. How can we support our university groups? Visit every two or three weeks keep friendly connection. Should we offer to do talks - ask the groups.

Monthly Center meetings – invite extended sangha next time - jeremy

Ten Minute talks – continue each meeting. Sign up sheet is good. Is it good to cover other topics than ones on the list? Better to stick to the topics and frame specifics within the larger topics... long winded explanation...

Continue to eat together and BBQ - !!!!  on Sundays and Wednesdays – focus on the friendship.

Sanghaship – is good – give what we can feel good about. Give incentives – subscription to Buddhism today – discounts at events and dharma shop, depositless library access, cubby hole for gear. Goal is to start sangha ship by January 08’. We need to do this to proactively fund center activity, start sending $20 checks monthly or $40 bi monthly to the umbrella to support  North American activity, pay for costs incurred by meditation space, help fund center projects like library, archive, dharma shop, statues for our alter, inviting traveling teachers...
